Our Pilates studio sits in the heart of beautiful Richmond upon Thames. Where we have supported the local community in their fitness journeys for over 40 years. Facilities
Hosted inside a fully-equipped fitness studio that hosts over 40 fun classes a week. Alongside the Pilates studio, our gym covers 6,500 square feet. Offering multiple exercise rooms, including weights and cardio machines. Top off your gym session with a relaxing steam in our Finnish sauna.

What to Expect
As you walk into the class, our Pilates class will begin with an instructor-led section, and then, when you feel confident, our instructors will take a step back to act as a guide and allow you to go at your own pace.
Exercises are performed standing, seated and lying down with emphasis on alignment and posterior lateral breathing whilst executing the moves.

What is Pilates?
Named after Joseph Pilates in the 20th Century, pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on the mind and body. As the core principles of pilates have evolved, it has become a favoured low-impact method of exercise. The movements that make up a typical pilates session include moving between standing, seated, and lying-down exercises, with emphasis on alignment and posterior lateral breathing. Combining physical routines with intentional breathing can stimulate calming and stress-relieving effects, which is why many are drawn to pilates’ strengthening and mindful results.

Are classes included in my membership?
Yes! All memberships cover access to our variety of classes, access to the gym and our weight rooms, as well as the sauna. Access depends on your membership plan; these may be available on specific days and times.

Is this class suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Pilates is a brilliant form of exercise for all abilities due to its low-impact and mindful properties. This class will initially be performed with the instructor on a timed sequence to create the flow, and then at your own pace under guidance.

Do you do other low-impact classes?
We have various types of yoga, like Vinyasa and Hatha flow. We also have a low-impact class dedicated to gently improving mobility, balance, and strength. All are based in a safe and supportive environment.
